Reproduction
The groundhog gives birth to her youngs in May or June. Gestation lasts between 30 to 34 days, for a litter of 3 to 5 young. The groundhog only has one litter per year. When they are born, they weigh 30g, 8 weeks later, they weigh nearly 600g!
